Loraine bit her lower lip and quickly grabbed the clothes, hurrying back to the bathroom.
Marco stood still, his gaze fixed on the palm of his hand.
Loraine’s scent lingered on his skin after their brief touch, causing his eyes to darken with intensity and his fists to clench with determination.
When Loraine emerged from the bathroom, now fully dressed, Marco had already left, leaving only a pile of boxes on the floor.
Meanwhile, Sameen and Amy had gone out and hadn’t returned yet.
Thinking about what had just happened, Loraine couldn’t help but flush.
A few moments later, she sighed and covered her face. Then, she began sorting through the boxes on the floor.
After opening two of them, Loraine stood with her hands on her hips, a conflicted expression on her face.
The boxes were filled with an assortment of items.
There were jewelry, sanitary products, as well as painkillers and cold medicine.
It seemed Marco had brought nearly the entire women’s section of a department store to the room.
Recalling Marco’s awkward attentiveness on the plane, Loraine felt a strange mix of amusement and helplessness.
He didn’t know how to take care of others properly—just acting on impulse, doing whatever came to mind.
But why was he doing this?
Had he realized he’d neglected her over the past three years and was trying to make up for it?
Or was he pursuing her, as Jennie had suggested?
Loraine’s thoughts swirled with confusion. She couldn’t help but think back to the awkward moment on the plane.
Had Marco really called her name while in the bathroom?
Had she misunderstood it? Or had he said her name because he noticed her presence?
The more Loraine thought about it, the more conflicted she became. She sat cross-legged, lost in thought, her hands still sifting through the boxes, when she accidentally pulled out a package of unusual items.
She looked down at them, blankly staring.
Suddenly, it clicked. They were adult items and personal products.
Just then, the door opened, and Amy’s cheerful voice rang out. “Loraine, I’m back!”
Loraine’s ears rang, and a wave of embarrassment rushed over her.
She quickly stuffed the items back into the boxes and hurriedly hid them away.
