Lin Yuzhen was still in shock, her mind struggling to catch up with the events that had just unfolded. She had been completely prepared for another humiliating night, trapped in the Lin family’s schemes, but Jiang Ning’s actions shattered that reality.
She looked at him, her heart racing. “My husband…?” The words tasted strange on her tongue. She had been handed a life she never wanted, yet Jiang Ning, this mysterious man who had been thrust into her world so suddenly, had done something completely unexpected.
Lin Feng, still stunned and reeling from the slap, slowly pulled himself up. His face was flushed with both anger and embarrassment, but when his eyes met Jiang Ning’s cold, unwavering gaze, he hesitated.

Jiang Ning didn’t even glance at him as he turned toward Lin Yuzhen. His voice softened, “Let’s go home.”
Lin Yuzhen’s gaze lingered on him for a moment longer. Home. The word felt foreign, but there was a sense of relief beneath the uncertainty. She wasn’t alone anymore. Maybe, just maybe, this strange marriage could be the start of something new.
Without a word, she followed Jiang Ning out of the hotel, her steps hesitant but determined. The cold wind outside didn’t feel as biting now.
Lin Feng stood rooted to the spot, fuming. He could already hear the whispers of his family members behind him, muttering about what had just transpired. His status, once untouchable, was now tainted.
