Chapter 54
Lin Yuzhen’s heart skipped a beat at Jiang Ning’s words. She looked at him with wide eyes, trying to grasp the magnitude of what he had just said.
“You… you’re serious about this?” she asked, her voice filled with a mix of surprise and disbelief.
Jiang Ning gave her a playful wink. “Of course I’m serious. The Lin Group’s days of ruling the market are numbered. Tomorrow, we’ll have our own Lin Group opening. It’s going to be a brand-new start for both of us.”
The weight of his words settled in her chest, and for the first time in a long while, Lin Yuzhen felt a sense of excitement and hope she hadn’t known she could still have. She had spent so many years fighting to make a name for herself in a company that had always held her back, but now, with Jiang Ning by her side, she was about to step into a world of possibilities she never imagined.
“But why did you wait until now?” Lin Yuzhen asked, her gaze lingering on him with a mixture of curiosity and admiration. “Why not sooner? Why let it drag on like this?”
Jiang Ning’s smile softened as he glanced at her. “Sometimes, things need to fall apart before they can be rebuilt. I wanted you to have a clean slate. I wanted the Lins to show their true colors, and now that they’ve done that, we can move forward without any doubts or regrets.”
Lin Yuzhen’s heart warmed at his words. “You’ve done so much for me already. I don’t know how to thank you enough.”
Jiang Ning reached out, brushing a lock of hair from her face. “There’s no need for thanks. You’ve been through enough. Now, it’s my turn to take care of things.”
As they walked out of the building and onto the streets of Donghai, the atmosphere seemed to shift. The tension of the meeting room had been replaced by a new kind of energy. Lin Yuzhen felt it too—the promise of something new, something that didn’t carry the weight of the Lin family’s legacy.
“We’ll make our own future,” Jiang Ning said, his tone filled with determination. “And tomorrow, it begins.”
Lin Yuzhen smiled, feeling a sense of peace settle over her. Tomorrow, they would officially start their own Lin Group, and she would no longer be bound by the shackles of the past.
As they walked side by side, hand in hand, Lin Yuzhen knew that the road ahead wouldn’t be easy. There would be challenges, of course—there always were. But with Jiang Ning by her side, she was ready to face whatever came their way.
Tomorrow, they would take the first step toward building something truly theirs. And for the first time in a long while, Lin Yuzhen felt like the future was wide open, full of possibility and hope.
