Loraine quickly shut down the rumor that she had gotten the job at Universe Group because of her connection to Cayson. To prove her point, she shared the interview question she had been asked that very day.
In her post’s conclusion, Loraine wrote, “For three years, I endured everything the Bryant family threw at me. Not anymore! I can proudly say that I never did anything wrong to Marco during our marriage.”
Her post was logically written and strikingly clear.
Supportive comments began flooding in almost immediately.
“Oh my God! She’s innocent! Marco was the one who cheated!”
“Great job, Loraine! I’m so proud of you for standing up for yourself and exposing that scum’s true colors. The nerve of him to play the victim after everything he did!”

The tide of public opinion shifted dramatically.
Marco, however, wasn’t concerned with the online backlash. His mind was focused on something else—Loraine’s job interview details.
He stared at her post in disbelief.

Marco had never known this.
He had been married to her for years, but he barely knew her. It was his fault—he hadn’t made any effort to understand her.
As he looked through the string of messages Loraine had sent him over the years, a strange sense of longing washed over him. He dialed her number.
