Confused and enraged, Marina struggled fiercely. “Are you nuts? Why are you doing this to me? They hit me! You should be arresting them instead!”
Her words were ignored by the security guards, who instead addressed Cayson with respect. “Mr. Benton, we’ve caught the troublemaker. What should we do with her?”
Cayson’s voice was cold and commanding. “Throw her out.”
“Yes, sir.”
The two security guards roughly dragged Marina out of the shop, ignoring her protests. Marina continued to struggle, her anger directed at Loraine. “Fuck off! It was that bitch who slapped me! You should be throwing her out, not me. What are you doing?”
Cayson stepped forward, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Marina with disdain. “This shopping mall, and even this entire piece of land, are owned by Universe Group. For your information, Loraine owns everything here.”
Marina’s eyes widened in disbelief. A second later, she let out a mocking laugh. She couldn’t comprehend why Cayson was so eager to cover for Loraine, resorting to such a lie. How could the shopping mall of his company possibly belong to Loraine? What a ridiculous claim!
Ignoring him, Marina tried to play her own cards, hoping to intimidate him with her family name. “Let me go! So what if he’s the CEO of Universe Group? Do you know who I am? My brother is Marco Bryant, the CEO of Bryant Group! If he finds out how you treated me, you won’t get away with it.”
But her threat fell on deaf ears as the security guards showed no signs of backing down. They dragged her out to the gates of the mall, where they dropped her onto the tarred ground like a sack of potatoes. The impact caused her back to ache, her clothes became disheveled, and her makeup was ruined.
Marina no longer resembled the distinguished woman she once tried to present herself as. Passersby pointed at her, gossiping among themselves. The humiliation was too much for Marina to bear.
She slowly got to her feet, her pride wounded but her fury undiminished. Shouting towards the mall, she threatened, “You’ve bitten off more than you can chew! I’ll call my brother right now! He’ll deal with all of you!”
